Define Success

Success is the achievement of a worthy goal. That’s how we define it. Is your definition one of these: (1) reaching as many customers as possible; (2) attracting attention using the latest and greatest in personalization; and/or (3) being heard?

If your goal is to make a sale, why define success as something else?

Talk is cheap. Worthless, actually. There’s a lot of wisdom in the adage: “be quick to listen and slow to speak.” People spend 80% of their time and money sending messages they hope will work and 20% of their time and money figuring out what needs to be said to make the sale.

Hope is not a strategy to achieve success. Hope is good. What makes it even better is setting yourself up to maximize the chances of achieving the success that you hope will happen.

Success is getting the 80/20 rule straight. Figuring out what will make the sale is 80% of the effort. The other 20% is the least of your worries – it involves choosing the most effective mode (or modes) of communication to tell your customer what they want to hear so they will buy from you.

We’ve got you covered on that. If you take the 80%, we can make the 20% very easy. There’s a lot of data out there about customers receiving marketing messages. Here are two interesting examples:

http://www.epsilon.com/consumer-survey-results

http://www.dmnews.com/marketers shift from brand awareness to return on investment (ROI)

We no longer live in a world of mass media. It’s a world of mass “niches” – niches fueled by the explosion of communication options. Getting the message out has never been easier.

Now, what is going to get the sale? That’s the part that just keeps getting harder.

Dasher Relocation/Update

Thanks to the incredible efforts of Dasher’s staff and some pretty amazing friends, within less than 24 hours of evacuating on Thursday, September 8th, we were up and running and fully functional in our new location at Penn Grant Centre, 777 East Park Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17111. You can still contact us through our website or via e-mail. Our telephone number did not change. It is still (717) 234-3274.

Dasher now serves clients in a 12,000 square-foot facility secured 24/7 with security guards, surveillance cameras, and limited access points within the building. We enjoy serving our growing list of clients in a new, fully-secure location, where our HIPAA-compliant operations include robust quality assurance procedures that protect all confidential/sensitive information.

Our move facilitated the consolidation of Dasher’s operations, which are now all under one roof. In early November, employees that operate our call center joined us here on East Park Drive. We are excited to have Suzanne, Brooke, Abby, Cindy and Star here in the new building with us. Their energy and enthusiasm for their work are contagious.

We are also excited about our growth and transformation over the past year from primarily a direct marketing/mailing company to a multi-channel communicator. Dasher is more about “moving information” than “mailing information.” We now have 30 employees. Our growing list of clients includes some great companies like Maximus Health Services, Magellan Health, Pearson Vue, HMS, and CGI Federal.

Dasher wishes you a happy, safe and prosperous 2012, and we look forward to adding new friends to our growing list in the new year!

Peace on earth, goodwill toward all!

The Dasher building was flooded last week when Mother Nature caused the Spring Creek and the Susquehanna River to overflow. This is to let you know that Dasher is up and running and fully functional at Penn Grant Centre, 777 East Park Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17111. All of our clients’ materials are safe and sound.
Act as if it were impossible to fail and as long as you embrace new ideas, you will reach new heights. Sometimes that means going against generally accepted beliefs (defying gravity). Here’s an example of dogma that must be questioned: There will always be
mail. This assumes that some people will always get hard copies of
documents delivered to them. Do you agree?
