Celebrate Your Greenness You do like your planet, don’t you? Here’s my sermon for the choir. Like you, I turn off lights and recycle bottles and cans. It is hard for everybody to have the same focus on saving energy at the office because most of us don’t pay that bill. Get this! Conservation at the workplace actually has more impact than what happens at home. Once we talked about it at Dasher, we said, “Let’s make an impact! Here are some conscious choices my teammates and I make to reduce our use of energy at work: 1. Turn off lights when we are leaving a room for more than 15 minutes. Not all rooms have motion sensors! 2. Set our computer to go to sleep mode after a short time instead of using screen savers. This can save a significant amount of energy. 3. Use both sides of paper when we print – and only print when absolutely necessary. 4. Keep our employee handbook (and other documents/forms) in electronic format for easy reference instead of...

Success is the achievement of a worthy goal. That’s how we define it. Is your definition one of these: (1) reaching as many customers as possible; (2) attracting attention using the latest and greatest in personalization; and/or (3) being heard? If your goal is to make a sale, why define success as something else? Talk is cheap. Worthless, actually. There’s a lot of wisdom in the adage: “be quick to listen and slow to speak.” People spend 80% of their time and money sending messages they hope will work and 20% of their time and money figuring out what needs to be said to make the sale. Hope is not a strategy to achieve success. Hope is good. What makes it even better is setting yourself up to maximize the chances of achieving the success that you hope will happen. Success is getting the 80/20 rule straight. Figuring out what will make the sale is 80% of the effort. The other 20% is the least of your worries – it involves choosing the most effective mode (or modes) of communication...

Thanks to the incredible efforts of Dasher’s staff and some pretty amazing friends, within less than 24 hours of evacuating on Thursday, September 8th, we were up and running and fully functional in our new location at Penn Grant Centre, 777 East Park Drive, Harrisburg, PA 17111. You can still contact us through our website or via e-mail. Our telephone number did not change. It is still (717) 234-3274. Dasher now serves clients in a 12,000 square-foot facility secured 24/7 with security guards, surveillance cameras, and limited access points within the building. We enjoy serving our growing list of clients in a new, fully-secure location, where our HIPAA-compliant operations include robust quality assurance procedures that protect all confidential/sensitive information.
Our move facilitated the consolidation of Dasher’s operations, which are now all under one roof. In early November, employees that operate our call center joined us here on East Park Drive. We are excited to have Suzanne, Brooke, Abby, Cindy and Star here in the new building with us. Their energy and enthusiasm for their work are contagious. ...

Act as if it were impossible to fail and as long as you embrace new ideas, you will reach new heights. Sometimes that means going against generally accepted beliefs (defying gravity). Here’s an example of dogma that must be questioned: There will always be
mail. This assumes that some people will always get hard copies of
documents delivered to them. Do you agree?
